  • Summer fundraising & communications intern

Minimum requirements for interns are:

  • Enrolment in and/or completion of a relevant post-secondary and/or postgraduate degree
  • Fluency in the English language
  • Fluency in either French or Spanish
  • All interns must demonstrate a legal right to work in Canada. Action Against Hunger Canada does not facilitate work visas for employment in Canada. If you intend to come to Canada through International Experience Canada (IEC), please ensure your full eligibility and indicate your intentions in your cover letter.
  • All internships are unpaid unless otherwise advertised.

We look to recruit interns at our Toronto office; we do not organize the placement of interns internationally.

Types of Internships:

Full-time Action Against Hunger Intern

Internships lasting 3 to 6 months on a quarterly basis:

  • January – March
  • April – June
  • July – September
  • October – December

Interns are fully integrated within our experienced team and support all facets of the organization: programmes, fundraising, communications, government relations and administration.

Summer Department Intern

Full- or half-time internships lasting from 3 to 4 months between the months of May and August.

SMART Methodology Intern

Action Against Hunger Canada is home to the SMART Methodology for Nutrition Assessment. This is an exciting global project that works across the world promoting high quality nutrition data. The SMART project takes interns from time to time.

Here in Toronto, we offer exciting volunteer opportunities for people who have time they would like to commit on a weekly or monthly basis. Volunteers support our events and day to day work in the office:
