Annual Progress Report 2014
The report is structured according to the five goals outlined in our strategic plan 2010 – 2015 and includes data from all of Action Against Hunger’s activities across the globe. In 2014, Action Against Hunger significantly increased the volume of its operations and the number of people it reaches. The organisation also established two new fundraising offices in Germany and Italy. Action Against Hunger responded to 24 humanitarian crises, ranging from natural disasters, to conflict situations, to epidemics. The organisation also continued to expand its operations to address reach more malnourished children.
2014 Learning Review from Action Against Hunger
From the start, Action Against Hunger has committed to learning and challenging the status quo in order to continuously find new, better ways and thus increase our impact. Through our annual Learning Review we share with the world our successes as well as our failures. It is also a platform for Discussion and Debate for sharing what we are not calling our “Good Practices”.
For the fourth consecutive year, we are providing a “no holding back” review by respected external evaluators of the quality of Action Against Hunger’s global performance based on a randomized selection of typical programmes implemented by our organization. We measure 7 performance areas: (1)Relevance; (2) Appropriateness & Coherence; (3) Sustainability; (4); Efficiency; (5) Impact; (6) Effectiveness; and (7) Coverage.
